London-based thermoforming machinery manufacturer Ridat is seeking market expansion into North America, hoping to partner with sales agents and manufacturers' representatives. Ridat, which designs, manufactures and sells a full range of thermoforming, blister, and skin packaging equipment, as well as roller die-cutter machines, says it is known in Europe for a competitively priced product range, which extends from basic low-cost manual machines through to fully automated multitasking systems and installations.

Ridat machines have been successfully marketed, distributed, and operated in Europe and worldwide, for more than 40 years. Dipak Sen Gupta, Ridat's managing director, said in a release that that success and the general economic sentiment are driving this expansion. "We believe that the current economic climate, when so many companies are examining production processes more closely than ever before, is exactly the right time to build a significant U.S. presence," Gupta said. At present, the company has customers in more than 50 countries, with 2500 installations globally of its more than 50 product lines.
