Thermoset plastics supplier Reichhold (Research Triangle Park, NC) announced that it will build a grass-roots resin factory near Tianjin.  The company has acquired land for the factory in the Tianjin Economic Technological Development Area (TEDA).  Phase I, with 12,000 tons per year of capacity, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2009. The market for composites in China continues to expand rapidly, particularly the segments of wind energy, closed molding, and pollution abatement, said Reichhold CFO Roger Willis.

Thermoset plastics supplier Reichhold (Research Triangle Park, NC) announced that it will build a grass-roots resin factory near Tianjin.  The company has acquired land for the factory in the Tianjin Economic Technological Development Area (TEDA).  Phase I, with 12,000 tons per year of capacity, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2009. The market for composites in China continues to expand rapidly, particularly the segments of wind energy, closed molding, and pollution abatement, said Reichhold CFO Roger Willis. Reichhold supplies unsaturated polyesters, vinyl esters, gel coats, structural adhesives, and flame retardant resins for a wide variety of markets, including general purpose, industrial, construction, marine, wind energy, electrical, transportation, and pollution abatement for coal fired electrical generating stations.
