Through-hole gripper offers increased productivity

Article-Through-hole gripper offers increased productivity

Designed to facilitate part ejection, feeding, cleaning, and sensing, Robohand has introduced the PPC Series through-hold parallel grippers. The through-hole design allows for the mounting of sensors to detect part presence and to feed parts to machining centers. The gripper?s three concentric jaws reportedly provide good repeatability, facilitating the loading and unloading of round parts. The internal drive mechanism is shielded due to the gripper design, protecting it from chips and particulates. The gripper works well in confined spaces due to its compact size. Grip forces range from 201 to 974 lb at 100 psi. The grippers can be mounted and operated in any direction and are available in three sizes. They are suitable for a wide range of applications, offering options like extended strokes, safety springs, sensors, and high-temperature seals.
