Thai Delegation seeks business opportunities at Tokyo Pack

Thailand is sending more than 80 delegates to visit Tokyo Pack 2012.

Led by the Thai Packaging Association (TPA), the delegation consists of various players in the packaging industry segments, including plastic packaging.

"Tokyo Pack is very interesting for Thai delegates," said Rutchanee Chaichart, Vice President of the Thai Packaging Association. "Tokyo Pack 2012 is the show not only for packaging machinery, but also packaging products."

Chaichart said the number of Thai delegates visiting Tokyo Pack 2012 this year is TPA's highest record so far. She said Japan is one of the major investors in Thailand and also one of the country's main export markets.

"The Thai packaging industry has to know what the Japanese consumer wants and keep an eye on Japanese packaging trends. Tokyo Pack is the perfect avenue for us to see the latest packaging innovations," she said.  "What we will learn from Tokyo Pack, I think will be of practical use to the Asian packaging market."
