Moldmakers and molders who like to preheat molds before putting them in the press have a new option in the Model 848 high-temperature, electrically heated, top-loading oven. It?s designed to accommodate large molds and can reach up to 1000F. The unit, which measures 6 by 3 by 3 ft, features Incoloy-sheathed heating elements and a 5000-cfm, 5-hp recirculating blower to provide horizontal airflow across the mold. Other oven features include 8-inch insulated walls, an aluminized steel interior and exterior, a reinforced .25-inch steel plate top, an air-operated rear-hinged door, and a floor reinforced to support up to 2000 lb on a removable subway grate. The digital temperature controller has a manual reset feature and recirculating blower airflow safety switch.
