Trexel Inc. (Wilmington, DE), developers of the MuCell injection molding foam process, announced that Steve Braig has left the company to pursue new opportunities. Braig served as President and CEO of the company for five years, and resigned effective June 30, 2015, the end of the fiscal year.

Steve_Braig_200.jpgDuring his time with Trexel, the company significantly increased its revenues, expanded the European organization, established subsidiaries in Japan and China and positioned Trexel’s process as the technology of choice in lightweighting injection molded automotive parts, according to a press release.

He also developed key partnerships with the industry’s top injection molding machine suppliers, enabling them to provide turnkey injection molding foaming systems, as well as partnerships with many other leading global organizations in the plastics industry.

Trexel has retained an executive search firm to recruit for the vacant leadership position.

Prior to joining Trexel, Braig served as President and CEO of Engel Machinery, President of Europackaging LLC and President of Nypro’s automation division, ACC.

Braig has started an advisory firm, Eventus Global LLC, headquartered in Washington, DC, with offices in Zürich. Through Eventus Global, Braig will advise U.S.-based plastics and plastics equipment companies in establishing overseas markets for their products, either by establishing subsidiaries or by creating new sales channels and strategic partnerships. Eventus Global also advises European plastics and plastics equipment companies in establishing U.S. subsidiaries or improving existing ones. He is also offering his services to more established companies with board of director and advisory board assignments.
