Web-exclusive: Exxon elastomer captures innovation award

Ali Westwood, Mike Fanset and Carlo Bartolucci of ExxonMobil Chemical are delighted that Vistamaxx 2125 specialty elastomer won the Index 08 Award.

In Geneva, Switzerland on April 18th, ExxonMobil Chemical's (Houston, TX; www.exxonmobilchemical.com) Vistamaxx 2125 specialty elastomer won an Index '08 Award. Index awards are sponsored by the European Disposables and Nonwovens Assn. (EDANA). Vistamaxx 2125 won the award for supplying innovation in a raw material. The awards panel is comprised of industry experts from marketing, research and development, the media, and academia.

To support growth in demand for Vistamaxx, ExxonMobil Chemical announced in September 2007 that it will proceed with a second world-scale steam cracker complex in Singapore, which will include a 300,000 tons-per-year specialty elastomers unit.
