Former Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) President and CEO Tony Radoszewski has joined Lane Enterprises Inc. in a newly created position as senior vice president, marketing and communications, effective Sept. 16, 2024. Closing in on its first century, Lane claims to be the nation’s second largest producer of corrugated steel pipe and high-density polyethylene pipe.

Lane said that Radoszewski will lead efforts to broaden the company’s market opportunities in numerous civil infrastructure applications. A veteran of the pipe industry, Radoszewski brings more than 40 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, business development, and executive management to the company.

A cure for failing domestic water infrastructure

“Tony has extensive knowledge of the pipe industry as well as strong leadership abilities that will help take our company to the next level,” said Patrick X. Collings, president and CEO of Lane. “The country’s failing water infrastructure is in desperate need of repair, and Lane’s vast product line has been proven to provide long-term, safe, and cost-effective solutions. Tony, with his excellent marketing, communications, and creative skills, will enable our company to carry that beneficial message forward.”

Radoszewski holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX, and began his career at Phillips 66 Co./Phillips Driscopipe (now part of the Performance Pipe Division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Co.).

Following his 15 years with Phillips, Radoszewski became the director of marketing and business development for Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. before moving on to lead Wentworth Group International, a business-to-business marketing firm specializing in market and product development for industrial/manufacturing clients.

From Plastics Pipe Institute to just PLASTICS

In 2006, Radoszewski was recruited to become the president of the Plastics Pipe Institute, the largest plastic pipe trade association in North America, and in 2019, he became president and CEO of PLASTICS. During his tenure, the association implemented its first-ever, three-year strategic plan which led to identifying, developing, and executing strategic initiatives focusing on advocacy, communications, member engagement, education, and sustainability, said the news release.

His tenure at PLASTICS was fairly brief, however, and ended acrimoniously. The association announced on March 28, 2022, that Radoszewski was no longer its president and CEO effective March 25. No reason was given for his departure at the time, but the association filed a lawsuit against Radoszewski the following July, claiming it was owed money stemming from a breach of contract.

Radoszewski had sued PLASTICS just two months earlier, stating that the association had failed to deliver part of his compensation.

The two parties ultimately settled.

Commenting on his return to the pipe sector, Radoszewski expressed his gratitude for this “opportunity to play a role in advancing this nearly 100-year-old company. Lane’s core beliefs and adherence to the highest standards for clients, partners, and employees is keenly instrumental to its current and future success. I’m excited to be a part of this team,” said Radoszewski.
