World Association Plastics Packaging for Dangerous Goods ICPP elects new president

At its general assembly in May, the ICPP International Confederation of Plastics Packaging Manufacturers unanimously elected Jerry Geyer as president by the delegates from Europe, America, Asia and Africa.

At its general assembly in May, the ICPP International Confederation of Plastics Packaging Manufacturers unanimously elected Jerry Geyer as president by the delegates from Europe, America, Asia and Africa.

Jerry Geyer 
In compliance with a rotational system, he follows Benoît Cheval from Sotralentz Packaging SAS/France after four years of presidency. Geyer is director of new product development at Greif, a manufacturer of industrial packaging systems and industrial bulk containers. 

The vice presidents Chris Lind, Mauser Corp. and Dave Tatz, Megapack were unanimously confirmed for another four-year mandate.

According to the statutes of the association, the ICPP-secretariat is hosted by IK, the German Association for plastics packaging and film. IK managing director Jürgen Bruder is also general secretary of the international organization. ICPP is accredited with consultative status at the United Nations and attends regularly the meetings of the UN Sub-Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods in Geneva.
