For the seventh year running, the Bio-based Material of the Year Innovation Award will be awarded during the International Conference on Bio-Based Materials, to be held this year on April 8-10, 2014, in Cologne, Germany. The award recognizes young, innovative developments in the biobased chemicals and materials field launched or to be launched in 2013 and 2014.
This year’s competition was open exclusively to competitors from Europe. Three winners will be selected by the conference participants on the basis of a 10-minute presentation from each of the seven nominees, in which they introduce their innovation to the conference participants. The award itself, which is sponsored by Coperion GmbH, will be presented to the winners during the dinner buffet on the first evening of the conference. The nominated companies and products are a selection of the very best recent European developments in the field of biobased materials and products.
