High-pressure PUR metering in a low-footprint package

Hennecke GmbH (Sankt Augustin) has developed a new generation of compact metering machines, the QFOAM series, which it says are the first metering machines designed and constructed for the mass market. The two-component machine is said to combine the advantages of PUR high-pressure technology at a cost lower than that to which processors are accustomed.

Hennecke predicts the new series of machines also could substitute for low-pressure technology in some applications. The QFOAM machine comprises a newly developed air-cleaned mixing head and the company’s established metering technology from its BaseLine and TopLine series.

Output can range from 100-1500 g/sec depending on the size of the machine. The hand-operated mixing head is used for cold-curing flexible foam, compact systems, filling foam, integral skin foam, energy-absorbing foam, and rigid insulating foam. According to the manufacturer, the series’ modular build enables it to fill orders quickly. —[email protected]
