Custom color and additive masterbatch supplier Americhem (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) has hired Brian Guhde as its new technology development manager for the company’s North American extrusion business. In this position, Guhde will identify new product opportunities, prioritize development projects for Americhem's extrusion business units and speed access to Americhem technical resources within its design labs and central research. He will work closely with the company's extrusion customers to develop customized solutions that help them bring more innovative products to market faster.

Guhde comes to Americhem after working at a number of extrusion-related business, including serving as technical manager, exterior portfolio for Crane and as plant manager at TimberTech’s Columbus, OH wood-plastic composite extrusion facility.

Custom compounder Teknor Apex (Pawtuckett, RI) promoted Domenic Marando , who joined the Vinyl Division of Teknor Apex in 2003 as a sales engineer, to sales representative for the Chem Polymer, Teknor Specialty Compounding, and Vinyl Divisions. He will be in charge of sales in Ontario, central and western Canada, upstate New York, and northwestern Pennsylvania. Gerard Cousineau has been appointed sales representative for the same three divisions in Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces.
ʉ۬Chem Polymer produces reinforced and specially modified compounds of nylon 6, 6/6, 6/10, and 6/12 under the Chemlon brand.

Also at Teknor Apex, in its recently established Bioplastics Division, Gregory Anderson was named technical manager, and Elizabeth Ponte as sales representative. Combined the two have 24 years of experience at Teknor Apex.

Thermoset plastics supplier Bulk Molding Compounds Inc. (BMCI; West Chicago, IL) has hired Scott Henricks as a new technical sales engineer. He brings 28 yearsof experience in the thermosets industry. Most recently he worked at Kurz-Kasch as an account/business manager.

In related news, Amy Rodgers has been promoted to the position of VP, human resources for Citadel Plastics Holdings Inc., responsible for developing HR processes for both BMCI and Matrixx.
