Available in either 460V or 230V versions, the new, silent-running Model SG-3690 central granulators from the Shini USA division of Budzar Industries Inc. (Willoughby, OH) are equipped with a standard welded steel rotor cutting design that company sources say ensures well-proportioned granulation with minimal dust. All parts are accessible for easy cleaning and maintenance.

The SG-3690 also features a performance-enhancing drop-down screen cradle and power tilt mechanism on the in-feed hopper that are easy to maintain and safe to operate, ensuring “excellent long-term performance,” according to the company. Also, its open-rotor-blade cutting design reportedly allows the grinder to consistently cut small, cleanly balanced granules.

Equipped with a tangential feed and a power-tilt adjustable hopper for easy feeding from a belt conveyor, the SG-3690 has a 14-by-35-inch cutting chamber with two-by-two cutting blades and three-by-two rotating blades. It's built for throughputs of up to 2000 lb/hr. Its other features are standard blade types, heavy-duty construction, and vibration pads.
