The emerging region of South/Central Americas, Andean and the Caribbean isles has enormous potential to strengthen its PET applications – shifting from glass to PET bottles and packaging. With its estimated population of 500 million people, strong consumerism pattern and growing economies, this region is looking at PET as the material of choice to replace traditional pack formats. As packaging trends move toward light-weight and used for products with extended shelf-life, PET bottles, sheets and jars are becoming the new packaging option. The growing applications of PET have also triggered PET capacity expansion globally, shifting trade dynamics in the region and globally. As the regional market matures to meet sustainable packaging, recycled PET is also taking precedence and finding its niche in the Central America & Caribbean markets.
Join CMT’s 3rd SCAPET to gain valuable market information on the bottling and beverage sector, vital packaging and technology trends and recycling developments!

Biobased materials - 10th Congress for Biobased Materials, Natural Fibres and WPCTuesday, June 24, 2014 - 9:00am - Wednesday, June 25, 2014 - 4:00pmSchwabenlandhalle, Tainer Str. 7-9, 70734 Fellbach, Germany, Tel.: +49 711 575610Carl Hanser Verlag, Lucia Femerling / Project Manager • Tel.: +49 89 99830-674
"Biobased Materials" continue to grow in importance globally in a wide variety of industrial sectors, and not only because of reasons associated with sustainability. The primary reason is the technical benefits of these materials. The potential for new products and new applications based on existing and new materials is far from being exhausted.
For the 10th time, the Congress for Biobased Materials, Natural Fibres and WPC provides a platform for industrial researchers, engineers and academics to present, exchange and discuss the latest developments, trends in innovations as well as strategic questions.
Over the years the congress has attracted a tremendous number of participants (in the recent years from 40 countries), which makes it one of the leading events in Europe.

International Conference on Additive Manufacturing & 3D PrintingSunday, July 6, 2014 - 11:00pm - Tuesday, July 8, 2014 - 11:00pmNottingham, UKAdditive Manufacturing & 3D Printing Research Group (3DPRG)email@example.com
The International Conference on Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing is now established as one of the world's leading knowledge transfer and networking events focused solely on the production of end-use components using additive 'layer-based' technologies. The conference includes invited academic and industrial speakers from around the world, discussing topics such as AM process and materials development, business & retail strategy for AM products, supply chain management and process modelling developments. The conference is regularly attended by over 200 delegates from around the world, representing some of the world's most innovative companies and brands.
To enhance the delegate experience, a parallel technology and material vendor's exhibition is held alongside the conference, where industrialists, academics and vendors are encouraged to network.
The event is hosted by the Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing Research Group (3DPRG) which is based at Nottingham University and jointly organised in conjunction with Additive Manufacturing consultancy Econolyst Ltd.
The conference takes place at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel, which is situated just a short distance from Nottingham City Centre and is easily accessible from junction 26 of the M1 motorway. This venue offers high quality conference facilities and four star accommodation all under one roof.
The conference also plays host to the ASTM F42 International Standards Group, which is working on the development of dedicated standards for the AM sector.
