E-shots Web-exclusive: HTG beefs up medical device capabilities

Silicone, thermoplastic, TPE, and organic rubber injection molder Hi-Tech Group (Anaheim, CA; www.hi-tech-group.com) has acquired two Ventura, CA-based companies to increase its capabilities in medical device manufacturing. Ventrex Inc., one of the acquisitions, is a medical device contract manufacturer that performs assembly, testing, packaging, and sterilization. The second acquisition, Infinity Plastics LLC, is a short-run molder with a focus on medical devices.
And HTG has another intended acquisition: Accusil Inc. (Merrillville, IN). The companies recently signed an agreement-in-principle that brings Accusil's liquid silicone molding and medical device design capabilities into the HTG fold. HTG-Ventrex, HTG-Infinity Plastics, and HTG-Accusil will continue to operate under existing management.
