New SencorpWhite thermoforming machine boosts precision and efficiency

SencorpWhite (Hyannis, MA) introduced its newest thermoforming machine—the Ultra 2—which it will highlight at NPE2018. Designed for multiple industries looking for more precision and control of form and trim, along with efficiency, the Ultra 2 is equipped with a more robust, heavy-duty rail transport system, unmatched in the industry, according to SencorpWhite.

The new rail transport system allows SencorpWhite’s clients to use less material and produce less waste. The Ultra 2 utilizes the company’s proprietary off-load system, which is up to 70% faster than previous designs. The Ultra 2 combines speed along with the ability to deliver more ups by cycle or to produce larger pieces.

The machine includes inline steel rule tools to help reduce tool and labor costs. The tools are designed to shorten production time by allowing users to perform changeovers within hours, not days, at a significant cost savings (10 times less than traditional punch and die, according to the company).
