Make plans for Sustainable Manufacturing forum at the K

The forum is free and will be held on November 1 during the industry's major tradeshow, the K, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Presentations will be made by industry experts in the fields of recycling, energy reduction and biobased and degradable plastics. Organizing the event is the British Plastics Federation (BPF). The speakers will include Keith Freegard from Axion Recycling, Fred Pratt from CCS Technology and Andrew Barclay from Wells Plastics.

Anyone attending the event also will receive a free copy of the newly published book "Sustainable Manufacturing: A Guide For The Plastics industry." The book is organized in eight chapters and includes 30 articles from the UK's leading experts in the field.

According to the BPF, the goal of the forum is to bring to the forefront of the manufacturing industry's agenda the key issues around sustainability and equip companies with the information and support to implement systems to fulfill long term sustainability goals and objectives. The BPF is the trade group representing Britain's plastics industry and as such also has organized a mini-tradeshow with the forum at which a pool of selected companies who have been highlighted as leaders in sustainable manufacturing will co-exhibit with tabletop displays

Attendance to the forum is free of charge and lunch will be provided, but companies must pre-register at www.sustainablemanufacturing.co.uk. The event will be held in 10.30-15:00 in room 28 of the Düsseldorf Congress Center. For further information, contact Justyna Jaworska [email protected] or call (+44) 2027 457 5001.
