The aptly named BigRep was used to print the mold for the vase in the previous picture. Made in Germany, it is the largest fused filament fabrication 3D printer currently on the market. Its makers boast that “with 27 times the volume of a large desktop 3D printer, it only costs about five times as much as the largest available desktop machine.”The new modular extruder can print support material and multiple colors. PLA is the recommended material to use for printing large objects to ensure minimal warpage issues.
