product_jan_02 (10K)The Plastcompactor recycles PET bottles into flakes that comply with FDA regulations. The material must be crystallized and the flakes transformed into a floating material with a high bulk density. The Plastcompactor slightly sinters the material between two compacting disks, with only a small loss of viscosity. The washed flakes are conveyed into the compacting chamber with a feeding screw. The material does not reach the melting point, yielding the required crystallization.

Units have a throughput rate of 200 to 1000 kg/hour. A typical model is the HV 50, with 110-kW drive and throughput of approximately 800 kg/hr, if the material is A-PET or PET-G.
