Rethink Robotics brought Baxter to the ATX show floor to showcase its collaborative approach to robotics. The new model for flexible production has people and robots working side by side, each doing what they do best, says the company. Crescent Industries provides a recent real-world example.

A custom manufacturer for the medtech industry, Crescent recently "hired" Baxter to work alongside human workers on its injection molding press, ensuring that feeding and unloading the press remains on schedule.
