Basic, modular rheometers

Aiming to provide flexibility and control in resin rheological testing is a new series of rheometers available in basic and modular models. The RS1 rheometer offers flow curve measurements with a defined shear rate or shear stress, and measurements that also determine elasticity. Yield points can be found using creep/recovery tests or stress-controlled ramps. Reactions can be followed with time or temperature curves at a constant shear rate, shear stress, or frequency.

For more demanding applications, the RS300 modular research rheometer offers the features of the RS1, as well as SnapShot software. To enhance control the unit uses a vector-controlled motor that reportedly permits high dynamic response in transient tests. The unit also provides a wide torque range, increasing sensitivity to low-viscosity fluids and delicate structures. In addition, modularity allows for interchangeable temperature control capabilities, such as high-temperature and Peltier systems.

Special measuring systems for high pressure, electro-rheology, and UV curing are also available.
