Mick Thiel started the company in 1983, supplying real-time production and process monitoring systems to the plastics industry. In 2006, Mattec merged with ERP systems supplier Solarsoft.

“I’m pleased to be leaving the company on such a high note,” Thiel said in a press release. “[The last three years] have been record years for us. While many of our competitors have experienced a downturn during that time, we’ve been able to thrive.”

Andy Amalfitano will be the general manager of Mattec and will continue to serve as GM for Solarsoft’s Mvp ERP system.—[email protected]
