Fortis acquires compounder

Compounder Global Thermoplastics L.P. (Houston, TX) has been acquired by private equity fund Monomoy Capital Partners L.P. (New York), which will roll it into compounder, injection molder, and profile extruder Fortis Plastics LLC. Global recently built a compounding facility in Houston and currently produces approximately 30 million lb of engineered resin compounds/year. That capacity will now be directed internally to supply Fortis.
