Turkish nylon compounder launches new high-temperature compounds

The new compounds have been launched under the names Eplamid HT00  and Eplamid HT02 glass filled and high flow compounds, and are suitable for replacing metal parts that are used in humid environments

The new grades are the outcome of nine months of formulation and trials prior to commercialization, said Gokcenur Saglam, PPA compounds project manager. "Both our Eplamid HT00 and HT02 products have very good high temperature properties, outstanding chemical resistance and work well in moist conditions."

The new compounds have been developed for use in the automotive industry, and are particularly suitable for the under the hood applications. Other application areas include sanitary and household products.

The Turkish high performance polyamide compounds producer operates two production facilities in Turkey and has distribution agreements with various distributors throughout Europe.  With a view to expanding its position on the Europeanmarket for palyamide compounds, Epsan opened a sales office in Germany at the start of 2014. The company currently produces some 23,000 t/y of PA 6 and PA 6.6 compounds. The firm employs about 100 employees worldwide and sells its polyamide 6 and 6.6 compounds to over 25 countries.
