D-M-E says the partnership will benefit the growing North American liquid silicone rubber (LSR) sector by combining Elmet's standardized cold runner product line with D-M-E's experienced service team and distribution network. Elmet's valve-gate cold runner system controls valve-gate nozzles with electrical motors installed directly on each nozzle to separately optimize filling of each cavity, enhance the overall process window, and enable injecting parts of differering volumes in the same mold. A standard Elmet cold runner system features precision guiding surfaces to extend the life of seals and movable parts, and facilitates service using a changeable nozzle insert that allows tip replacement without exchanging the whole nozzle-cooling body. —[email protected]
