Diversified Machine Systems demos 5-Axis CNC Machine at NPE2015

Diversified Machine Systems (DMS), an OEM of 3- and 5-axis CNC Routers and large format machining centers, announce that they will be exhibiting a DMS 50Axis CNC Router in Booth S-26125 at NPE2015. DMS CNC Routers are used on a variety of materials including composites, plastics, aluminum, foam and wood.

During the show, DMS will showcase many of the new features available for advanced materials machining, such as updates that support emerging safety requirements. Some of these features include air-pressurized bellows, tool changer doors to protect the outside of the work envelope, cool air guns for keeping contaminants away from runner blocks, and fully enclosed machining for safety and dust containment.

Fagor Automation, strategic partner of DMS, announced their integration of Renishaw software and contact tool setting programs on the Fagor 8065 and 8070 CNC Controls that allow operators to update their work offsets automatically and generate automatic reporting, while the Renishaw Inspection Plus software allows for even more features. With the Renishaw probing integration, DMS customers have access to the most advanced technological probing capability available on today’s market.

Another new Fagor Automation feature is the MT Connect compliance communication protocols on their control systems, allowing the CNC operator to network their DMS CNC Router to provide process information that can be accessed from any connection on the network.

Specific to the Fagor 8065 CNC Control, available as a standard offering on most DMS 5-axis CNC Routers, is the tool inspection mode that allows the operator to pause the program being executed, explore aspects of the machine without losing position, and resume at the point of program interruption. It anticipates any conditions that an operator may run into during the execution of a program and provides a solution.

DMS will demonstrate many of these new features on a DMS 5-axis CNC Router.
