GLS launches three TPEs

GLS Corp. has introduced three TPEs capable of imparting a soft grip and rubbery feel in thousands of consumer goods. New from the GLS/DSM alliance/technical joint venture to develop and sell Versalloy thermoplastic vulcanizate alloys is Versalloy 8000 alloys, available from 45 to 70 Shore A. This line reportedly offers a balance of high performance and good processability in one TPE alloy. Super-soft 30 Shore 00 Versaflex CL2003 thermoplastic elastomers are water-clear, non-tacky, and oil free. The expanded Versollan TPU line is marketed as a high-performance rubberized thermoplastic urethane TPE alloy. Available in a soft grade of 45 Shore A and made with specialty thermoplastic polyurethanes from BASF Corp., Versollan alloy compounds are targeted for demanding applications.
