Haitian places new machines in Europe

Chinese injection molding machine manufacturer Haitian (Ningbo) in May delivered its first machine from the firm’s HTFW range to an unidentified European customer via its Haitian Europe subsidiary (Cazzago, Italy). Haitian calls this machine range an optimized version of its standard HTF platform range. The HTFW machine range, available with clamping force from 60-4000 tonnes, has a five-point toggle and Keba controls, plus electronics, hydraulics, and drives sourced from European manufacturers. Haitian claims these machines are offered at prices about 30% less than those of European machine manufacturers. In May, Haitian in North America displayed for the first time its HTFW 130-160 (147 U.S. ton) injection molding machine, at the Plastec exhibition at the stand of Absolute Haitian Corp. (Worcester, MA), the exclusive sales and service partner in the U.S. and Canada for Haitian. The machine is backed by a two-year complete parts and labor warranty and is priced with delivery costs to the customer’s factory at $60,200.Haitian is the world’s largest injection molding machine maker based on units sold and claims to be market leader in China. In 2006 the firm sold about 1100 machines in Europe, for about a 10% market share.
