High-cavitation hot runners; quick-delivery systems

A new line of high-cavitation hot runner systems is now available. Gate systems include standard valve with 45-mm pitch, mini valve with minimum 25-mm pitch, and thermal with minimum 34-mm pitch. The systems are said to reduce equipment costs by enabling molders to use smaller mold bases and presses. They also reportedly yield good temperature uniformity for shorter cycle times at lower melt temperatures.

Synventive also recently announced quick delivery for its MultiZone (MZ) hot runner systems, which use heaters on both sides of the manifold to distribute heat evenly. The technology is available for delivery in four to five weeks and can be ordered as a hot half, completely assembled, fully wired and tested, and ready to install into an existing molding system. Customers can also engineer their own hot runner systems. The company says it will provide detailed MZ drawings within 48 hours of customer contact.
