Beryllium-free alloy for molds

NP_PerformAlloys_Moldsta-01.jpgMoldStar 90 beryllium-free copper alloy is suitable for building injection and blowmolding molds. The alloy is available in round sizes in 3/8- to 3-inch diameters, and in plate sizes from ½ to 4 inches thick. Performance core pins made with MoldStar 90 are available as a standard feature. The alloy is said to provide consistent hardness without cracks.Material specifications include: 90 Btu/hr/ft/deg F, a Rockwell C 31 minimum, a tensile strength (ksi) of 136 nominal, and a yield strength (ksi) of 126 nominal.
