Dutchland Plastics recognized by Yeti for manufacturing excellence and adherence to ‘core values’

Yeti, the cult brand based in Austin, TX, responsible for launching the premium cooler market, presented Dutchland Plastics (Oostburg, WI) with a Core Values award as one of its top suppliers. Based on a survey of operations and innovations teams that interact with all Yeti suppliers, the award was presented to Dutchland to honor manufacturing excellence and innovation while adhering to Yeti’s core values:

  • Being authentic and innovative with Yeti’s brand and products;

  • continually striving for improvement;

  • prioritizing activities that have the biggest impact;

  • being responsive and going the extra mile;

  • acting with a sense of urgency;

  • understanding that no one succeeds alone.

Founded in 2006 in Austin by brothers Roy and Ryan Seiders who built the first Yeti in their father’s garage, the company partnered with Dutchland because both companies share a commitment to quality that is unmatched, said Yeti.

“We consider Dutchland to be among the best molders in the U.S.A.,” Roy said. Both brothers are avid outdoorsmen.

Dutchland Plastics claims it is one of “the top five manufacturers of custom rotational molded plastic products in North America,” and has been manufacturing Yeti coolers since 2013. Dutchland Plastics also produces more than 3,500 rotationally molded product lines at its 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Oostburg for companies including NuCanoe, Leer, KI, Swenson and Polaris.

Dutchland Plastics recently finished building a new 50,000-square-foot facility in Canastota, NY, and plans to create more than 40 new jobs in the area.

Yeti, whose coolers the company says are “built for serious outdoor enthusiasts,” also makes products geared for the recreational, commercial, outdoor, food and beverage, furniture and marine industries.
