Desma (Fridingen, Germany), the world’s leading manufacturer of injection molding machinery for processing rubber, is establishing its own moldmaking shop at its U.S. subsidiary in Hebron, KY, with new machinery being added to the facility. The North American market will be served from there. The company already has a 35-person moldmaking shop at its German headquarters. Moldmaking has grown as a portion of Desma’s business, generating some €6 million in sales annually; the company recently announced the shipment of its 600th cold runner system.—[email protected]
