UBM Canon to produce Advanced Manufacturing Expo in Mexico

Event producer UBM Canon (Santa Monica, CA) and UBM Mexico (Mexico City) have announced the launch of Advanced Manufacturing Expo Mexico, which will take place November 15 to 17, 2016, at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City. UBM Canon leverages its strong history producing advanced manufacturing events, with co-located expos for powder and bulk solids, plastics, packaging, automation, design and manufacturing, and quality, in various venues across the United States and Canada. UBM Mexico brings its experience in the Mexican marketplace producing events for concrete, construction, and the hospitality industry. UBM Canon is the publisher of PlasticsToday.

"Manufacturing is a fast-growing sector in the expanding Mexican economy," said Roger Burg, VP of Strategic Operations for UBM Canon, "and Mexico City is the region with the most manufacturing facilities in the country. With the need for sourcing throughout the various stages of design and manufacturing, from design through processing, manufacturing, and packaging, our comprehensive Advanced Manufacturing event will connect world-class suppliers with decision makers."

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) created a free trade zone, which has resulted in Mexico becoming the third largest trade partner for the United States and the second largest export market for U.S. products. In addition, Mexico is the world's seventh largest importer of machine tools, which represents a large commitment by Mexican companies to growth of their manufacturing economy.

In addition to an expected 250 leading international exhibitors on the expo hall floor, covering processing, automation, design and manufacturing, plastics, packaging, and quality, there will be an extensive professional conference, offering a range of updated educational sessions, dealing with the latest in technology, product design, and manufacturing for all of these market sectors.
