Colorant division gains Sony Green Partner approval

ColorMatrix Group Inc. (Cleveland, OH) gained approval as a Sony Green Partner supplier earlier in 2008, and the company’s specialty fluoropolymer colorant division Colorant Chromatics Group also just achieved this environmentally sensitive status in early 2009. The Sony Green Partner Standards were established in July 2001 to encourage its suppliers to introduce Green Partner environmental management systems, which identify environment-related substances that need to be banned or reduced.

To gain this approval, a detailed environmental audit was performed, which provided evidence of control of raw materials and products, and both companies’ management systems and production processes were examined. —[email protected]
