Medical disposables market poised for continued growth

Comprising everything from syringes and tubing to surgical kit components, medical disposables typically use materials such as PVC, polypropylene, polyethylene, thermoplastic elastomers, and polycarbonates. Demand for these and other polymers will continue to increase as medical device designers seek to replace metal and glass with plastics that offer similar performance at lower cost.

With a 40% share, the United States is the largest market for disposable medical products, followed by Europe with a 29% market share, according to Trimark.

The report, titled Disposable Medical Supplies Markets, offers analysis of the global as well as major regional markets for disposable medical devices, including competitive scenarios and surveys of companies engaged in the manufacture, marketing, and development of disposable medical supplies.
