Names in the News: Appointments at Milacron, Interplastic, Elmet, Farrel and Techne

Plastics processing machinery manufacturer Milacron (Batavia, OH) recently announced that Gerold Schley is the new managing director of Ferromatik Milacron, its injection molding machinery manufacturing operation in Malterdingen, Germany. Schley also continues to serve as VP for China and global sourcing at the company.

He reports directly to David Lawrence, president of Milacron's plastics machinery operations. Schley succeeds Guy Moilliet, who came to Ferromatik in 2007 and is now retiring.

At specialty chemicals supplier Interplastic Corp. (St. Paul, MN), Peter Surmak has joined the company as its business manager, vinyl ester/engineered resins of the company's thermoset resins division. Prior to joining Interplastic, he held a variety of positions in business management with Celanese International and H.B. Fuller.
 
Interplastic's thermosets division focuses on the production and distribution of unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester resins, gel coats, and colorants for the composites and cast polymer industries. 

Ryan Cutler has joined Elmet as that company's new technical sales representative/project coordinator for the North and South American markets. Elmet, based in Oftering, Austria, is a leading manufacturer of injection molds for processing of liquid silicone rubber (LSR), as well as valve gated cold decks, LSR dosing systems, LIM (liquid injection molding) peripheral devices, and complete turn-key molding cells. Cutler will be working from a home office in Dewitt, Michigan.

Joining extruder manufacturer Farrel Corp. (Ansonia, CT) as site director for Farrel Ltd. in Rochdale, England is Peter Gaskell. Most recently, he served as director of operations of Metris, a metrology equipment supplier, for both Italy and China.

Extrusion blowmolding machine manufacturer Techne North America (Fort Worth, TX), an affiliate of Italy's Techne SpA, announced the appointment of Kevin Burch as service engineer. Burch, a 25-year plastics industry veteran, will relocate from Orlando, FL to Techne's service and spare parts center in Fort Worth. Burch is Techne's second U.S. service engineer. —[email protected]
