Names in the News: New faces at Simona America, NPE2012, PSG, and Guill Tool

Joining semifinished thermoplastic products supplier Simona America (Hazleton, PA) is Matthew Curtis as its new product development and technical support services manager. Most recently he had been a product development engineer at MACtac in Scranton, PA.

Gunther Hoyt at NPE in 2003; he'll be handling exhibition space sales for the 2012 event.

On the tradeshow front, Gunther Hoyt will lead exhibitor sales in Europe, Japan, and Korea for the NPE2012 plastics exposition, it was announced by SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association (Washington, DC), which produces the triennial event.  
 
For 30 years Hoyt worked for screw and barrel manufacturer Xaloy Inc. and was executive VP when he left the company in 2009 to form Gunther Hoyt Associates (Salem, VA), a consulting firm. His company will work with three regional sales directors who, like Hoyt, are experienced in managing industry companies, have exhibited at NPE and other trade shows, and are familiar with the regions they will serve. The three are based in Germany, Italy, and Japan.     
 
NPE2012 will take place April 1-5, 2012, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.


Tasked to help hot runner manufacturer PSG Plastic Service Group Inc. (Stevensville, MI) expand its presence in the North American automotive industry is Joe Lang, who joins PSG as a business development manager. His plastics industry background includes more than 25 years of commercial leadership and product management positions at both Synventive Molding Solutions and its predecessor companies, as well as at Celanese Engineering Resins (now Ticona). In North America, PSG manufactures in Stevensville, MI, and has service centers in Windsor, ON and Duncan, SC.

In other personnel news, Stephen Blanche has joined extrusion tool manufacturer Guill Tool & Engineering Inc. (West Warwick, RI) as its sales manager for New England as well as New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Blanche had been Guill's national sales representative manager. Stated Glen Guillemette, president of Guill Tool & Engineering, "Steve Blanche's dedicated years of service at Guill, combined with his thorough understanding of our diversified and growing product lines, makes him the ideal candidate to help focus our new business efforts in New England and the Northeast corridor areas. This territory demands more intensive sales efforts because it's our home region. Steve is now poised to work with a growing list of OEMs and extrusion manufacturers for advanced medical and industrial tooling."
