Corona Dynamics (Rowlett, TX), a recently formed company, will carry on Corona Design Inc.’s work as well as expand on it, with management at the new company having acquired the IP and customer base of their former employer. The company intends to service Corona Design’s installed equipment and also design and build its own. Corona Design, active for more than 35 years, has been closed.

The former management team of Corona Designs, Inc. is continuing its work at the new company, according to Keith Woodson, VP/CEO at Corona Dynamics LLC, in answer to emailed questions from MPW. Curt Whiteside and Donnie Chapin join Woodson in the new firm’s leadership. All claim expertise in designing thick, rigid-web corona treater systems, and also can provide specialty high-release/high-temperature roll coatings, industrial rolls, and diamond mesa electrode retrofits. Approximately 95% of its business is involved in, and with, the plastics industry.
