Old temperature control unit gets new controller

Article-Old temperature control unit gets new controller

Combi water and oil temperature control units have been around since the mid-1990s, but recently they received a new microprocessor to enhance control. The thermoregulators for use on water to 95C (203F) and oil to 150C (302F) now incorporate a dual microprocessor controller available with a multilingual LCD. The control shows the operating status and fault conditions, while the touch-button front panel has LED indicators for quick reference of operating conditions.

The Combi, which is available in 9 or 12 kW option heating capacities, is powered via a solid-state control providing 0 to 100 percent heating capacity. Indirect cooling is made possible through corrosion-free, single- or double-bank coils that are controlled by a self-cleaning solenoid valve. Vertically mounted bronze pumps and a large insulated stainless steel tank are fitted on all models. There are alarms for high temperatures and low-level pump fault, as well as a safety thermostat.
