Packaging: Sirane to expand following T&G acquisition

Sirane Ltd. (Telford, U.K.), a maker of absorbent, bio-degradable, bio-compostable microwaveable, and ovenable materials for packaging, is looking to expand its production capacity following the late-summer acquisition of Thomas and Green (T&G; Hereford, U.K.), adding 20,000 sq ft to its 65,000-sq-ft Stafford Park facilities, which it moved into last spring. Sirane says Thomas and Green takeover has given Sirane an platform to expand its packaging in the healthcare market, with plans to invest and further develop niche products in this area.

Sirane’s new Stafford Park, Telford is reportedly building towards £10million in turnover by the end of this calendar year.
