TNP_AmericanMSI_ac.gifMatrix, a global operator interface for the Altanium series of hot runner temperature controls, is designed to function with Windows XP, Linux, or an Internet browser. The graphical user interface is intuitive with limited text and is suitable for multilingual environments. It also provides size options with a choice of 12- or 18-inch LCD touch-screen interfaces.A point-and-touch interface with icons and pull-out menus gives access to temperature control, monitoring, alarm, and diagnostics functions.

User-configurable display layouts are automatically loaded when the user logs into the system. An integrated Ethernet port remotely monitors from any networked PC through an Internet browser or pass-through control to another control device. Multimedia help provides function descriptions and video clips.

The unit?s rugged design operates reliably in industrial environments, sustaining exposure to dirt, grease, moisture, shock, vibration, and EMI/RFI. An audit trail keeps a running log of all process changes with date and time stamps. Designed for 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, Matrix features configurable two-token security and advanced user rights management.

SQC data recording keeps track of average temperature over time or over the number of samples, as well as the average amps, watts, percentage of power, and standard deviation. Multimedia notes can be written with an onscreen keyboard and sketchpad. The notes can be associated to a mold setup or left for next-shift operators, with or without a recorded voice message. An online mold library has various mold data, including photographs, 2-D and 3-D CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, and recipes that can be stored on the unit or shared on a server. Advanced diagnostics can be applied to the entire mold or individual heater zones. Matrix replaces the Orion operator interface. It offers Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Dutch, Italian, and Spanish language capabilities.
