Check sensors' functionabiity with the 8951A Signal Tester from Priamus System Technologies

Sensor-based cavity monitoring that lets you know what’s happening inside the mold during injection is a major advance in the science of injection molding – but only if the sensors are working properly. The 8951A Signal Tester from sensor system supplier Priamus System Technologies (Brunswick, OH) offers a simple way to check them out.

The 8951A displays actual pressure and temperature values of any piezoelectric cavity sensor, performs an insulation test, and also checks the sensitivity detection of the company’s Priased brand of pressure sensors.

Sensitivity of a mounted pressure sensor can be checked automatically or manually with a test pin to see if all the integrated quartz crystals are working. The battery-operated device also checks temperature sensor polarity and looks for short circuits in any type of sensor.

Ergonomically designed, the 8951A is operated via its simple keypad and values are clearly visible on the display. The device can be ordered alone or as a kit consisting of the signal tester, test pin, short circuit connectors, connecting cables for pressure and temperature, and a case to hold it all.
