Part/Sprue Pliers, Gripper Fingers Added To EOAT Line

>SAS< Automation has two new robotic end-of-arm-tooling accessories: a series of part/sprue pliers and a series of gripper fingers.

pn13.jpgPart/sprue pliers The GRZ series ofpart/sprue pliers are designed for robotic EOAT (end-of-arm tooling) grippers. Three sizes are available: GRZ 1010 (fits >SAS<' standard size 10 clamp and has a 10 mm bore), GRZ 2016 (fits the standard size 20 clamp and has a 16 mm bore) and the GRZ 32 (fits the standard size 20 clamp and has a 32 mm bore).

Three versions of each size are available: units with jaw mounting holes for custom applications, units with standard jaws and units with in-the-jaw part sensors. These jaws are said not to need adjustment, even with changing sprue sizes.

Most of the units have a single-acting spring function jaw return (meaning that only one air line is required for operation) and all are compatible with the company's modular Get A Grip! EOAT gripper system. Prices start at $165.

pn14.jpgGripper fingers The GRF Series of gripper fingers are designed to securely 'claw' around a part by flipping behind part edges. They are specifically designed for difficult part removal applications, where high force and/or part flexing off mold lifters is necessary.

Fingers are pneumatically single-acting and have a spring return function. They are also extendable for longer reaches.

The fingers are available in standard sizes and are compatible with the company's Get A Grip! EOAT gripper system. Prices start at $310.
