Sheet extruder Highland Plastics (Shepherd, MI) has invested in a new co-extrusion line for producing a new construction surfacing material, called Korlux, which Highland describes as a thin, mineral-filled, flexible co-extruded laminate with the appearance of real granite.

Korlux was developed by Bordener Engineered Surfaces (Midland, MI), a developer of decorative laminates. Bordener says the sheet can be laminated, for instance onto countertops and other home or office interior applications, and can also be thermoformed. —[email protected]
