Urbanek leaves, but stays with KM

KraussMaffei’s (Munich, Germany; www.kraussmaffei.com) chief technical officer Otto Urbanek resigned as of the end of December, but his foot is still in the door. According to a press release from the company, KM’s CEO Dietmar Straub asked Urbanek to stay on as chair of the Technology Committee and provide consulting services.

KraussMaffei’s (Munich, Germany; www.kraussmaffei.com) chief technical officer Otto Urbanek resigned as of the end of December, but his foot is still in the door. According to a press release from the company, KM’s CEO Dietmar Straub asked Urbanek to stay on as chair of the Technology Committee and provide consulting services.

In short, Dr. Urbanek has made a decisive contribution to ensuring that KraussMaffei is today the technology leader in our sector.”

Urbanek came to KM in November 2004 as COO of mpm (KraussMaffei AG’s precursor). A year later he because CTO of KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH.
