Charlie Crew, a 30-year veteran of GE Plastics, is the new CEO of Sabic Innovative Plastics, GE Plastics identity since being acquired by Sabic in September 2007. Crew succeeds Brian T. Gladden, who is reported to have left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Charlie Crew, a 30-year veteran of GE Plastics, is the new CEO of Sabic Innovative Plastics, GE Plastics identity since being acquired by Sabic in September 2007. Crew succeeds Brian T. Gladden, who is reported to have left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Crew began his career with GE Plastics in 1977 as an account manager, and since then has served the company as president and CEO of LNP Engineering Plastics; VP/GM of the company’s Cycolac, Geloy, and petrochemicals business; president of GE Plastics Europe, Middle East & Africa; and VP/GM of the commercial operations of GE Plastics Americas.
Crew’s most recent post was VP/GM of Sabic Innovative Plastics’ global ventures business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Villanova University.
Mohamed H. Al-Mady, the chairman of Sabic IP’s supervisory board said, “This internal promotion underscores the depth of our management team and the strength of our succession plan.” He noted that Crew’s 30 years of experience ensures continuity of leadership for the business.
