PolyOne's medical unit is showcasing its increased emphasis on the Asian market, building off its recent ISO 13485 certification at its masterbatch facility located in Shanghai and the opening of a new polymer distribution warehouse and sales facility in the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone in Shanghai. This augmented presence and its growing range of specialty healthcare compounds will be front and center for the company during the Medtec China event (Sept. 7-8; Intex Shanghai Exhibition Centre).

The company reports that the masterbatch facility is the first ISO 13485-certified site among North American and European masterbatch producers in China, and is the fourth such certification for PolyOne globally. At the show, the company will announced that  its radiopaque and catheter solutions are now available to customers in Asia through its subsidiary, NEU Specialty Materials. It also announced new developments in both Geon HC and OnColor HC Plus portfolios, with both now available in Asia.
