Retractable core redesigned

Article-Retractable core redesigned

By adding an installation-fastening device and a bronze bushing, PCS Co. has reportedly improved its retractable core. The re-engineering adds a device called the conical lock, which is said to allow moldmakers to maintain overall height with greater accuracy without the use of an additional force on the spring section of the core. The lock is positioned along the side of the core where a reference, or flat plane has been added to keep the core stationary. A bronze bushing has also been added to provide smoother operation.
