Inkcups Now Corp. (ICN; Danvers, MA) has debuted three new types of laser-engravable plates for pad printing: AccuLaze for CO2 or YAG lasers, and Cobalt Ultra and Cobalt Steel Back for YAG lasers. With these new plates, ICN now offers five different laser plate materials specifically designed to be used with YAG or CO2 systems and capable of handling the full spectrum of graphics, from fine to bold images.

The AccuLaze is designed for small graphics, fine lines, and process images. It has a fixed depth of 0.00085 inch, making it easy to find the correct settings on any capable CO2 or YAG laser system. The Cobalt Ultra is a thick, damage-resistant plate material, ideal for large bold images and ink cups with steel rings. Cobalt Steel Back is the most durable of the laser plate materials, developed for extended production runs and use with magnetic ink cups. [email protected]
