Antimicrobial additives keeps keyboard clean for medical settings

The antimicrobial additive technology stays the same but the OEM has made significant changes to the keyboards. The second generation Medi-Key keyboard now offers improved key response and feel, a wider touchpad with gesture response and an optional numeric keypad.

Designed for use where infection control is critical, the new keyboard can now be programmed to advise when cleaning is necessary. Entering the disinfect mode avoids the need to switch off the computer during cleaning.

The wipe-clean IP65-rated Medi-Key has been made incorporating Addmaster's Biomaster antimicrobial formulation, acting as a secondary defense to the spread of infection and cross contamination. Biomaster is a permanent additive for the control of harmful bacteria and has been proven to reduce the growth of MRSA, E.Coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Campylobacter and over 50 other bacteria by up to 99.99%.

The ergonomic keyboard now has a lighter feel with a more tactile response, and the option of an integrated numeric pad for faster data input.
